Preparing for your hair styling trial

Preparing for your hair styling trial

Want to get the most out of your hair styling trial? There are things you can do before your appointment.

1. ASAP

Start using silicone-free shampoo and conditioner. This will help your hairstyle hold up longer throughout the day.

2. A few weeks out

Start looking for inspiration pictures for hairstyles you want to try. The first question would be, would you like an updo, or would you like your hair down. If you are not sure, look for pictures of both. There are many photos in our gallery, facebook page and instagram to get you started.

Try to look for hairstyles that have a similar hair colour to yours. This will give you a better indication of how it would turn out.

3. The day before the trial appointment

Unless your hair becomes very oily very quickly, we recommend you to wash and dry your hair the evening prior to the hair styling trial. Use shampoo twice, followed by conditioner once. Blow dry your hair that night. If you can, avoid any leave-in treatment, including hair oil elixir, serum and cream.

4. On the day of the trial appointment

Be on time. Arriving late often means your appointment cut short so you may not be able to try multiple hairstyles. Also, have your pictures ready - we don't want to sound old, but print-outs are always preferable (your phone may run out of battery or data when you need it). If you have a picture of your gown/outfit, that would be very helpful. Make sure you tell your stylist what you like and don't like - remember, communication is the key to a meaningful trial.
