False lashes are temporary. They are best suited for those who want to use them just for that one special day. There is no effort needed to maintain them, because they come off at the end of the day.

Pros:

  • No ongoing maintenance required
  • Will not damage real lashes
  • Can complement a natural or dramatic style
  • Your makeup artist has control over the length and intensity

Cons:

  • They are temporary - they come off at the end of the day
  • Additional time is required for lash application

Lash extension is semi-permanent, so you can take advantage of them over a longer period of time. However, they would start falling off after 7-14 days, at which point in-fill will be necessary. The result and quality of lash extension will vary greatly depending on the technician.

Pros:

  • They can look great for an extended period of time
  • No need to factor in extra time to apply false lashes on the special day
  • Choose between natural and dramatic styles depending on the technician

Cons:

  • Maintenance required; regular in-fill to maintain the result
